Tasked with redesigning the logo for Montreal Les Grands Ballets, I have created an iconographic logo and a following typographic solution, as well as several brand touchpoints presented in a pitch deck. With Les Grands Ballets being a dance and ballet company in Montreal, I wanted the logo to explore the elegant figure of the dancer, and the way they can create fluid art forms and graceful shapes with their own limbs. I wanted a simple, sleek icon that could pay homage and allude to the recognizable form of the ballet dancer in a unique, pictorial way. The goal was to simplify the body down to five points, denoting the head, arms, and legs. This way I could create a shape that was poseable, sharp, and elegant altogether. Recognizable on its own, but able to hold up as a pictorial representation of the dance company.
